Vintage Wooden Potato Cabbage Masher Made In US Zone Germany 1945 to 1955

Description

This vintage wooden potato cabbage sauerkraut masher has stamped on the handle ‘Made in US Zone Germany’. This dates the masher as being made between 1945 and 1955 when the US along with the UK, France and the Soviet Union occupied and split Germany into (4) zones after the end of WW II.
The masher is in excellent vintage preowned condition and shows the normal amount of wear consistent with its age and use. There is a crack in the wood of the masher part, wear marks, discoloration, scratches and chips as would be expected with an item of this age (76 to 66 years old).
The masher measures approximately 10 1/2” tall and 2 1/2” wide.
Please note this masher is not meant for food preparation today and is for decorative/display use only. It would look great in a farmhouse or log cabin kitchen or in a historical display.
