    his 100 milligram [1/10 gram] "2019 LIBERTY" Aurum Gold Note bears a Liberty motif originally designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens acting at the direct request of President Theodore Roosevelt, who wanted to revamp the appearance of American coinage. Saint-Gaudens updated the classic Liberty symbol that was employed by the Romans as the goddess

    . On U.S. coins, Liberty was depicted as a young Liberty with a winged cap [often mistaken for Mercury] on the dime, minted from 1916 to 1945.  U. S. Gold coins carrying the same Saint-Gaudens LIBERTY design have now become among the most collectible coins in the world. The Stature of Liberty, designed by Federic Bartholdi, is another well known example of the goddess as an icon. The Valaurum, Inc., LIBERTY Gold Note series dates from 2016 and has continued with element and design variations since then. In the 2019 iteration [which in my opinion is the best looking design in the series], LIBERTY walks boldly towards us, the U.S. Capital Building in the left background, as she holds aloft the Torch of Enlightenment and the classic Olive Branch of Peace.  Valaurum, Inc., of Portland, Oregon, produced this Aurum Gold Note through a proprietary manufacturing process that deposits precisely measured amounts of gold between layers of polyester film, providing an attractive and effective means of building a gold asset. Each Aurum Note has a unique ID Number on both lower left and right. The Gold Note is secured in an archival quality currency sleeve and is attached to the inside of a Golden Life Card [see photo] with a label detailing what the Note represents. We call this feature a "mini-bio," which helps remind future folks just what they are seeing. Also included is a colorfully designed envelope suitable for storing the LIBERTY Note or gifting it to a loved one.
